Nike x HBCU Yardrunners
To highlight the second annual Nike x HBCU Yardrunners campaign for the SoHo NYC store, Nike requested lockers and a bulletin board featuring and celebrating HBCU’s top athletes. Our display design needed to reflect the passion and dedication we felt from their stories and showcased the opulence & decadence of HBCU’s, yet was designed within Nike’s retail visual and aesthetic. Inspired by details from the brand’s campaign imagery, I designed a custom motif to weave through the display, incorporating the pattern into the locker acrylic side panels, MQ platform toppers, and bulletin board base. A glimpse into an HBCU athlete’s locker reveals their personal story and handle, designed to be a flexible system for the visual merchandising team with interchangeable product sitting atop a stack branded books.
