The Super Bowl XLIX custom typography style is inspired by a modern look at the landscape of Arizona, where the game is played. The color palette draws from the pristine silver of the Vince Lombardi Trophy and the University of Arizona Stadium, and the cool purple hues and rich oranges of some of Arizona's most recognizable rock formations.
My role was to develop the alphabet of characters and the wayfinding from this original concept into workable forms and type lockups in multiple colorways.
